[GUN is just physical damage in DeSu. Sorry buddy. That's a strong RESIST.]
Oh, no problem.
[Seriously, he doesn't know how far Akechi walked, but that water does in fact look heavy enough that he would have offered anyway! He's not a complete invalid, and he's going to take that jug from Akechi to free up his poor hand.
It needs a lot more cleaning and scrubbing than this. It's a dump.
[At least they can both agree on the fact it looks like shit.]
But it's a start, and it's what I have. Come back in a week or two, I'll have it actually looking like an actual house by then. One lived in by people and not spiders.
[But it will be, eventually. He's not staying in a shit hole even if it's cleaned up when he could have a really cool castle 💞💞💞.]
Just some conversation would be nice as I scrub this stuff.
[He says, already pulling his shirt off over his head. Oooh. Ahhh. Twink body covered in various awful claw mark scars and scars from being bitten by things that have two many teeth, and not to mention the various weapon caused wounds... Like the one from a meat cleaver that runs pretty much neatly half way around his body just below his rib cage.
[Does Metaverse assassin training come with sensitivity classes?
NOPE.
Akechi eyes the wounds on Kazuya - sets the soap to the side and moves to stand by him. Unfortunately, his pride won't let him not work. It's minor shit anyway. Nothing intense.]
Hand me rag and I can help for a bit. Though as for my appointment, it's a standing one I have with an ally here. Nothing more than that.
[It's fake. <3]
If I may - those are fairly intense scars. I don't mean to pry, however - are you okay?

[The words are noted as he says them. Ally. Not friend. Not acquaintance. Ally. It throws more doubt into his mind. There's really no way he doesn't have any sort of power.
Oh well. He can keep that to himself until it comes tumbling out when Kazuya gets his own powers back. And he will. ]
If you're sure. Thanks.
[He'll hand him one of the rags, and start scrubbing himself.]
And yeah, I'm fine. These have all been healed, and they're all at least a month or so old now? They're from both wild demons and demon tamers back home.
I got better over time. It got easier and easier to anticipate the moves of the demons coming after me the more I fought them, but some are just a league of their own if you've never encountered them before. And then there's ones where they just simply reflect the damage you're trying to do back at you.
[He's cleaning his shirt first... Might as well use currently clean water to wash it free of grime, and then the time it's spending drying to clean the rest of the place and prevent more grime from sweat sticking to it, right?]
Sometimes I forgot to check the COMP, or just forgot what their deal was only to get hit right back. It definitely happened less and less as everything went on, though. Mistakes get way too costly otherwise.
[Especially when it's your life on the line, and your friends may not have enough magic left to patch you back up after a fight, or at least, not all the way. It's certainly happened.]
It was a real pain if only one of them sent your attacks back at you while the others were weak to it. Sometimes you just have to take the gamble, unfortunately.

[It's par the course - the way Kazuya operates similar to Akechi's own modus operandi. Attack, and remember. Attack, and conquer. Attack, and dodge. Take risks for the thrill, for necessity, and remember because death in that reality is as permanent as any other.]
It's fortunate you were so skilled then. Despite your injuries, you still have a good spirit about it.
[Wow, he's already sick of cleaning. This is rag is dirty after only a couple swipes - ugh.]
The adaptability required for such a life - I can't fathom how tiring it must be.
Kazuya nods, wringing out grime from his shirt where he can. Yuck... At least it'll hopefully smell mildly better now that its being cleaned.]
You learn fast, when things want to eat you. It might have been a little more fun if our lives hadn't been on the line, but that's how it goes for something like that, doesn't it?
[A pain...]
The worst part is not all of these are from wild demons. Sometimes other demon tamers would attack. Usually thugs and gang members, but there were a few cops in there too. Guess that goes to show you can't really trust the people you thought were there to protect you sometimes.
It's an unfortunate fact that those in power will choose to enact it over you, more often than not. Even police are not immune to such things. Those who shirk their duty should be stripped of their power entirely, but that's not what happens. Unfortunately, in an unjust world, you have to be your own advocate and hope those around you follow protocol and justice.
[In his line of work -
He often sees how little they do to help. Even Sae has lost her way from the constant battle to prove herself.
Akechi's own false life a mockery of justice, but he never cared for it anyway.
The phone buzzes in his pocket - a text from some rando. An out provided from having to clean more.]
Ah, I have to go now - my apologies I couldn't assist you longer than this.

Thank you - your help is appreciated.
[He regards the cottage - it looks like shit. Never before has he been more grateful to be in a castle.]
You've cleaned this place up some. It looks comfortable.

Is there anything else you need? I'm happy to assist - ah, but I do have an appointment later. I can't stay to help for long.
[There is no appointment. He's just being like So Nice.]

Perhaps you're in need of a dodging lesson. [A beat.] Kidding, of course. I can't imagine it was easy to fight as much as you did.
