Unfortunately, trying to fix plumbing and electricity by hand doesn't work, as far as I know. Those amenities have to be wished for at the crystal. I'd be happy to walk you over there when you're ready.
In the meantime, there is a bathhouse. It's not dissimilar to one you'd find in Tokyo, and it's a very nice place. Akechi-kun and I visit fairly frequently. You're welcome to use that to get clean.
