( Basil's expression is soft and fond then. It's not something he expected at all, but he's glad regardless. He feels so light, his heart swelling in happiness. )

Does that-- ( He withdraws, feeling a bit shy. ) ... make us boyfriends...?

Yeah, it does.

[ And this time he'll be the one to initiate, leaning forward to press his lips to Basil's gently, hand coming up to caress the side of his face. It's brief, but his hand stays even as he pulls away. ]

( He kisses him, and Basil responds back easily, a hand moving to brush against the one on his cheek. )

I'm happy... But... What made you change your mind?

( So much had happened since they last spoke of this, Basil feels like it was only a short while ago when he had gently rejected him. )

Time, mostly.

[It'd made it easier to accept and think about his relationship to the other, to put distance between Basil loosing his original partner, and so suddenly confessing to him.]

Either way, I'm... really happy that things turned out like this. I wouldn't want you to commit to something like this unless you were ready...

Don't worry. I'm a pretty hard guy to force into anything.

[Anything he does? Is because he made the choice to do that, so he wants to stomp out the notion that he'd done it for Basil's sake immediately.]

( He looks to Kazuya fondly before he pushes himself up a bit. )

( It's an innocent request for cuddles, okay. )
